A headband project I made for the Fall ’09 issue of SewStylish is available on the SewStylish blog, including the template for free download. To make, I used an assortment of feathers from Plumes N’ Feathers, buckram, fabric, and a headband. For a less dramatic look, scale down the embellishment’s size and choose feathers that are closer to your hair’s shade.
The project above was inspired by Lanvin’s fall collection, pictured below. Whether you’re channeling your inner ’20s flapper or trying to get runway style à la Lanvin on a budget, feather headbands dress up any ensemble, and they’re super-easy to create. This low-sew project can be finished in no time for a night out with friends; it could even be completed with a bit of glue if you don’t feel like sewing at all.
hey that looks familiar!!! (i tried to post a photo of me macho-squatting in that same feather headband, but i couldn’t get it to work!)
Darn it!!!! Macho squats por vida!
