FedEx is a liar

I ordered a plethera of new shirts to print on for the Craftacular, which were supposed to come in yesterday….Supposed to is the key word there.

I took the day off from work and literally sat around my apartment all day waiting for the FedEx delivery person in silence. Our buzzer doesn’t really buzz so much as just make a weird …..uhhh….. fuzzy noise that seems to be of a frequency that I can never hear, so I wanted to better my chances of hearing the “buzzer” by not watching tv or listening to music all day.

After several phone calls to Fed Ex, they end up telling me that they can arrive any time until 8 pm…. The biggest rain storm that I’ve seen in a while here in the city of course falls upon us (it always weirds me out when it rains and storms hard here…) and by now it’s 7:47 pm and I am standing in my doorway in wonderment looking at the rain and wondering if the FedEx guy perhaps was stolen by someone and is now being forced into some weird slave trade.

So…I call Fed Ex. Lady says that they attempted delivery at 7:42 pm and the package is now on its way back to Fed Ex offices. What? I was livid. There was absolutely no delivery attempt at any point in time yesterday, and if there had been, wouldn’t he have left one of those little “Sorry we missed you!” tags? At this point, I’m calling the delivery man a liar and letting the woman on the phone know of every single ounce of my anger. I finally calm down and ask if the guy could come back, since he apparently had been there 5 minutes before. He couldn’t be too far away. But..of course the little parcel liar can’t. I ask if I can come pick up the package the next day since it was heading back to the FedEx place. Nope. Not open on Saturdays. So, finally I ask if I can have the package sent to my office first thing on Monday morning since I will not be able to take ANOTHER full day of work off. She says sure, and we do the deed…

Now the hook…I just called FedEx to check on the redirection of my package because I felt a little uneasy about the whole thing. Sure enough, she said that the package would not be able to be redirected on Monday as it had to be “processed for redirection” so it will arrive first thing on Tuesday. Awesome. 4 days before Craftacular…plenty of time, no?

Anyways…happy birthday John!!!!!
